Gluten Free Fast Food – Where Can I Eat Good Fast Food?

Many fast food franchise chains are offering gluten free or wheat free choices on their menu. But if you are extremely gluten sensitive or you suffer from Celiac, then you should be careful.
I am not a fan at all of fast food, or fast food restaurants. Whether you are gluten sensitive or a celiac or not you should try to avoid such food as much as possible.
Gluten free junk food is no more healthier than regular fast food, when you look at the menu items in these junk food joints. All the manufacturing and processing practices are questionable it say the least, the rearing and treatment of the so call “farm animals” are outright immoral.
The ingredients in most of these foods are often chemically engineered to make it addictive. Their emphasis is cheap production first, taste second, length of shelf life third, ease of packaging forth and nutrition last. So most of these foods are not in the best interest of the environment and your health.
The good news is that many of these dishes that you are accustom to, can be prepared right in your home from scratch, and that way you know exactly what is going into the food. You have more control over the gluten free ingredients and preparation.
If you must eat out then make sure that you read the ingredients and can view their operational and manufacturing practices in regard to wheat and gluten and non wheat and gluten products.
One of my favorite foods is pizza. But for a gluten free fast food version you can try buying your gluten free pizza crust from the health food store, and buying all your veges and try a dairy free cheese for the topping. Get or make your own non gluten tomato sauce and put it all together yourself in your oven.
Remember that most celiacs are also very sensitive to dairy and some meat products. So you should try to avoid or eat very little of these foods.
