Quick Gluten Free Meals For Your Toddler

You believe that your toddler might have Celiac Disease but aren’t really sure what he can eat. There is a lot of confusion regarding what foods are Gluten Free. My wife and I have come up with some quick Gluten Free meals for your toddler.

Our 2 year old has Celiac Disease and is also a very picky eater. This really makes things difficult. He is on the small size for his age so we don’t mind sneaking in extra calories when we can.

For breakfast you can feed your son or daughter scrambled eggs. If you add cheese, make sure to shred it yourself. Some shredded cheeses have ingredients that are used to keep the cheese from sticking together. These could possibly contain Gluten. Carl Budding processed meats have the GF label on their packaging. Cut up some ham and toss it in with the eggs.

Yoplait yogurt is free of Gluten. Other brands could be as well, but Yoplait states it on their label.

For lunch you could make cheese roll ups. Use GF corn tortillas and melt cheese (shred yourself) inside. Add Pace salsa for extra flavor.

Prego spaghetti sauce is GF. Boil rice noodles (should be able to find in the organic section of your local grocery store) and add ground beef for protein.

For snacks, top fruit with peanut butter. Most peanut butter brands should be Gluten Free but Skippy is one that has it on their label so I stick with that.

Dry Chex cereal or you can make “puppy chow” with Chex cereal for when you are on the go.

These are just a few quick Gluten Free meals for your toddler. Feeding your child with Celiac Disease doesn’t have to be difficult, you just need to educate yourself before you go to the grocery store.
